Latitude meets Dr Brown!
Dr Brown is a world-renowned clowning skills instructor and actor who trained with the infamous Philippe Gaullier. His unique critically acclaimed offerings Dr Brown Because (2010) and Doctor Brown Becaves (2011) gained: Top Ten pick of the Fringe 2010; Malcolm Hardee Award for Most Original Comedy nomination 2010 & 2011; The Sunday Times’ Best Comedy Newcomer 2010; Total Theatre Award nominee 2011; and global sell-out runs.
The Guardian’s review of Becaves (2011) proclaimed it as “classic physical comedy, given such a twist by Burgers’s opaque charisma and taste for the non-sequitur that it feels like something entirely new”.
We caught up with Dr Brown in Australia ahead of his appearance this year in Latitude’s Cabaret Arena.
